Garden Wedding Inspiration0 commentsWhen I see garden weddings and style ideas and they always seem to be soft pinks and yellows and very "Tea party" feeling. So today's board is a fun, bolder color combo of Green, Orange and Pink with a garden feel. Adorable table settings with simple bold flowers pull the garden feel with a little bit of funky style while great food and summer melon balls bring a casual get together ambience. The Orange and Green combo, especially on the invitations is almost too bold but the pink pulls it back making it perfect for a summer garden gathering to celebrate the best day of your life. I hope you are inspired and have a happy Thursday! ![]() Wedding Rebel Movement - Popcorn!0 commentsPopcorn isn't just for movies and themed weddings anymore! There are SO MANY cute and different ways to have popcorn at your wedding! So for the popcorn junkies out there (like me) who would love to have popcorn but don't want a carnival themed or movie themed wedding... there’s still hope! I hope you are inspired and have a happy Thursday! ![]() Pouring Popcorn - Jar Popcorn - Cone Favors - Fancy Flavored Popcorn - Bagged Favors - Throwing Popcorn - Green and Grey - White Boxed Popcorn "Chloe'" ~ Earthy. Vintage. Eclectic.0 commentsToday's blog is more than a style board. More than a theme. More than idea. It’s all about essence. As a planner I want to capture the essence of the bride and groom through their event. One of the first things I always ask when meeting a couple (or the starting point I suggest to newly engaged brides) is to use Three Words that describe YOU! The following steps are three words to describe the groom and then three words to describe the two of you as a couple. Take those sets of three words and choose three to embody what you want for your wedding day. Its a great way to get a feel for your wedding day and find a starting point. Hint: the next steps after finding your words are to pull together a "board" full of things that inspire you, embody your Big Three, and that you'd like to have in your wedding. But back to essence… A few weeks ago I asked my dear friends on Facebook to tell me their three words. Quite a few of my sweet friends responded with so many wonderful Big Threes that I thought I must come up with something to share their essence! So without further ado, here is "Chloe'" ~ Vintage, Earthy and Eclectic. I hope you are inspired and have a happy Thursday! ![]() Billy Balls in Jars - Food Buffet - Tea Length Wedding Dress - Shoes - Book Centerpieces with Candles - - Bouquet – Sign-In Table Red Lagoon0 commentsI am adoring red lately. Today’s style board is simple but very fun. With striped Maids dresses, vintage vases and a fun picnic-ish feel, this board makes me think of 1900's picnics and boat rides. How fun would it be to take a leisurely boat ride across a lagoon, to a secluded summer picnic spot and celebrate your love? So grab a bag of Cherries, a piece of county cake (or a cool parfait) and be inspired! Happy Thursday! ![]() ![]() The Wedding Rebel Movement- Pies! Now to the Wedding Rebel Movement for today: Pies! (PS- If you have a Pie Bar at your wedding and TinyComet is your photographer... send in the pic and I'll send you a $25 dollar gift card) When we hear the words wedding and dessert together, we automatically think CAKE! Wedding cake. Cupcakes. Do you think wedding pie? I do! Now it’s become more popular to have a variety of desserts, think candy bars, pastry bars and dessert bars. In fact check out this blog from Lavish Planning & Design titled Raising the Bar! You'll find tons of great ideas if you're looking for a "bar” or dessert buffet options. One option she mentions is Pies! But I'm taking it a step further (out comes the rebel!) Lets not do any plain old Pie Bar... let’s mix it up! How about mini pies? Much like the mini cupcake, a delicious bite (or two) and you're on to the next wonderful part of the wedding! I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of Pie Pops. Stuck on a stick and it’s just plainer cooler, more convenient and fun! Pie to go any one? Mini Pies as favors with personalized boxes... take the wedding home for dessert later! (Or in my case a yummy breakfast the next day!) Even a large pie bar is great, different and delish. Be sure to have the pies titled telling guests what pie it is! I hope you are inspired and have a happy Thursday! ![]() Pink Lemonade0 commentsAn adorable new trend this wedding season is signature drinks. The couple hand picks a drink to match their colors and favorite flavors. Then the signature drink is served during the cocktail hour and throughout the reception. This is a trend that is starting to surface at nonalcoholic weddings as well! It’s such a cute idea and another great detail to make your wedding completely yours! If you're thinking of having a fun signature drink, Martha Stewart has some amazing "cocktail" (both alcoholic and nonalcoholic) ideas! Now let’s take it a step further. How about a whole wedding based off a signature drink? Check out this adorable wedding based around Coke-A-Cola from Utah Bride Blog! So with signature drinks in mind, how about one of my favorites, Pink Lemonade? I hope you are inspired by a sweet summer wedding with pink lemonade and have a happy Thursday! ![]() The Wedding Rebel Movement- Dogs!0 commentsMan's best friend can be the best man, the ring bearer or a special guest! It’s becoming more and more acceptable to have your four legged family members be part of your wedding. If your venue doesn't allow pets but you still want your dog to be part of your wedding, take your engagements, day after’s or (dare I say it?) your bridals with your dog! This isn't for every dog of course... be sure your pet can be well behaved around crowds and that you have a trusted family member to take care of your little guy during the ceremony and to take him or her home afterwards. That said, here are some adorable photos of sweet dogs at weddings. I also put in a pic of my own dog, Owen, practicing with a treat so he can one day hold the rings! I hope you are inspired and happy Thursday! ![]() About the Wedding Rebel Movement: I occasionally stumble upon brides who think "this is how weddings should look" and then I find their personalities and personal style don't fit your traditional wedding at all! It’s supposed to be a day about the two of you as a sweet couple and to celebrate your love, why celebrate like you’re someone else? Thus I'm starting a segment titled the Wedding Rebel Movement. Occasionally I'll post ideas that I feel are outside the box, break tradition and rebel against what a wedding "should be." Maybe a few of the Rebel Movement ideas will speak to you! So let’s celebrate, plan and have fun with your personal style!
